Hi iv just bought an iphone and think it might have been blocked after i bought it and its on o2 can someone tell me what to do to find out if it is blocked or not thanks

You could also go onto apples website and enter the serial number which will tell you the warranty status of the handset.

If its under warranty you could arrange a Genius Barr appointment at your most local apple store.

That's if you want to persevere with this. Personally I'd be spending my time getting rid by dispute.

How did you purchase the phone? Was it off somebody or through a shop?

I think there is a time limit that you have to claim, an unreputable seller can wait out that time and then declare a phone as lost or stolen, nasty trick but it seems to happen quite a lot.

 

From what I've read Ebay don't seem to be able to deal with this problem.

It seems that the consumer protection is sadly lacking with ebay purchases and you may as well buy from the local sleazebag down at the pub. Same risks it seems to me.

Problem is the sleezebag down the pub is probably financing drug activities etc !
