iphone 5s upgrade - no service

Anonymous
Not applicable

So I upgraded from my iphone 4 to the 5s which arrived on monday 23rd. Everything was transferred over using itunes and i put the new micro sim in but it's still saying no service on the phone (im guessing the sim hasn't been activated). I checked on my o2 account and the contract details have updated but it says im still using an iphone 4.

Any ideas?

Have you performed the swapmysim procedure yet ?

http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/

or Text SWAP to 20220

It can then take from a few hours to 24 hours approx to reset the services.

Turning the phone off and back on helps the reset.

If you have and are still having issues then ring o2 on 202 from an o2 powered mobile or from a landline 0844 809 0202 5p / min

We would not have advised you go down that route in that case.

You will have to contact CS to activate your new sim http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
