iphone 4S keeps dropping my wifi connection

My iphone 4S keeps dropping wifi signal in various different places i have had wifi. At home with BT, in work etc. Tried turn off and re-boot. Sometimes my wifi on/off button will grey out, sometimes it will be work. It might connect to a network if it feels like it for about 5 mins. Then just drop back to 3g. Not got much data allowence left! Help!

(i might be crazy, but this has all happened since last weeks O2 outage)

if the on / off is greyed out it could just be a bad ios upgrade try a full restore.

The greyed out is mentioned in an apple support document and the restore should cure it. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

I have had the same problem and while making calls the network will suddenly drop and cut off my call. I am in London and this should not happen. It has happened since the 02 outage and I have given it a couple of weeks and it has not improved
