iWork Apps free for older devices if a 5C/5S has been purchased

No idea if anyone has noticed this but I've stumbled across this tonight after downloading Keynote,Pages and Numbers from the iWork selection Apps

All three of these Apps are worth £6.99 each on older devices

If you already have an iPhone 5C or 5S you know your able to download these now for free on your new device, what I've noticed is that if you have an older device also logged in to your account you can download these Apps for free from your cloud

I just downloaded them to my iPad which can be used fully on it, I'm pretty sure Apple only told you they were available for newer devices for Free and don't promote this idea

I suppose if anyone else is on your account they can download them for free but I haven't tried this

Dont forget you also get Imovie and Iphoto for free as well

That's standard behaviour - once you own something in the Apple store it's available for all your devices.

Some were only available for iPad or vice versa

Has this changed now ?

Sadly the only app I didn't already own was Keynote but once I'd downloaded it on my 5S I could download it to all my other devices
