My watches have to be strong and durable. Whilst the watches look good (though overpriced) I'm not sure it would last very long on my wrist unfortunately.

Intresting prospective I didn't really think of it in those terms. However for me it's more about the watch functions and phone integration, health and fitness is not my thing in fact it will make me even more lazy because some of the time I'll just have to rase my rist instead of picking up my phone LOL

Well you will be ok then.... (Except you may start getting obese...with your lack of exercise) LOL

What makes you think the Apple watch is not durable, what is on your wrist currently?

It may just be me but I would have to choose a clasp style or the metal band style as the magnet option would just make me worry about it dropping off or being a grab and run mugging item.

I'm forever banging my arm against things, I never take my watch off for showers, washing up etc.

I wear it for DIY, gardening, cleaning the car.

My present watch is shockproof, waterproof, scratch resistant, no battery, metal stainless steel strap and case.

I need a metal strap and whilst the iwatch looks good and I love the functions, I don't think it would be hard wearing and I dread to think how wearing it in a heavy downpour would affect it.

It's very early days so I reserve judgement. I'm sure we will get reviews once it's released but would I dash out and buy one on launch day? Sadly not.

Well it ain't gonna make a very good sports watch if it don't offer at least a degree of water resistance and the stainless steel and sapphire version should be extreemly hard wearing. As far as I can see the week point may be the crown as it sticks out a fair way only time will tell if Apple has done a good job of over engineering it for robustness. As the straps are easy to swap around I don't see that being an issue and there are bound to be third party ones that will suit everyone

There were hundreds of demo models at the launch last night - just about everyone was wearing them.....

That doesn't mean they'll be in the Apple Stores to demo by the public.

Be nice if they are.
