I have been provided with a friends old iPhone 6s locked to o2 as they have upgraded to an iPhone 8 would unlocking the 6s effect the 8. Also to add the 6s has been under pay monthly for 18 months.

Unlocking wouldn't affect anything other than the phone you choose to unlock. Guide here

So will the form ask for what specific phone you want to unlock or does it unlock the phone without an o2 sim inserted

@COnnar you need to give the IMEI number of the phone you want to unlock.
