I upgraded my iPhone 4 to an iPhone 4s and transferred my O2 SIM to the new phone. My son wanted my old iPhone but it wouldn't work with his O2 SIM (even tho his SIM works in my new phone and his Dad's phone). The old phone would only work with the original SIM card so it seems the phone had locked itself to that SIM. I contacted O2 who arranged to have the phone unlocked but it still wouldn't work. I then factory reset the phone to see if that would solve the problem and now even the original SIM won't work in it! Help!!

I have contacted Apple support and say my service/repair warranty has expired. They could phone me if I paid £25 for one-off support ... should I just take it into the O2 shop and let them send it away for repair as they have suggested or would I be better off paying Apple the £25?

Are you able to take it into an apple store as they will give you much better customer service they can also swap it as an out of warranty replacement for a cost
