Hello, I am currently working in the Middle East and I’ve bought a SIM card out here so I went through the process of trying to unlock my phone with the form and everything however I’ve waited several days now and I’ve heard nothing! I really need this sorting as I would like to contact family back home! Thank you

Hi @JCooop, and welcome to the forum Wave

I'm sorry to hear you can't get in touch with your family because of your locked phone - have you tried, once the non-O2 SIM is in the phone, to connect to WiFi, go to Settings > General > About and enter your Apple ID and password? If it still doesn't work then, I'll need a few more details via Private Message to get someone to look into it for you as soon as possible slight_smile

Thanks @MI5 for the mention!

Update: The phone should now be unlocked, @JCooop - to finalise the process, you simply need to enter a non-O2 SIM and go to Settings > General > About and enter your Apple ID and password! smiley

@JCooop O2 now sell all their phones unlocked. You should not have to fill in any forms. Have you tried the local sim in the phone?

Should you still be having problems, if you have a WiFi connection you can still use Facetime or WhatsApp.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

The iPhone X would originally have been locked but we know of delays of up to 12 days currently with unlocking requests.
Our community admin might be able to escalate it for you though @Marjo @EmilieT ?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
