Press volume up, then volume down, then hold the power button until the Apple logo appears on screen.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@Phillipa

Did you hold the power button long enough for the Apple logo to appear?

It's also important that you just briefly press vol up then vol down first.

I've never known that to not reset a device.

If you have done all that, your only option is to contact Apple to get it checked.
