iPhone 7 messages/ text disappeared not received

Yesterday all of my messages/ texts disappeared! Now I'm not reveiving any that are sent to me!
I've not done anything to my iPhone 7 and all updates have been installed!
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not too bothered about loosing texts but it would be nice if I received any new ones!

Try first cleaning the sim card and rebooting the phone. 

Have you recently changed sim?

How much storage space do you have left on the phone?
iOS will delete some things to create space for other stuff so clear some old rubbish off the phone if you are nearly full.
Also try a reset by holding power and volume down until you see the Apple logo appear on screen.

Do you have backup with the cloud? If you are paying for more than the free 5GB space apple provides you should have all your messages saved there, the ones that are lost, that is.

Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
