Thought it would be fun to create a launch thread, for your iPhone 7 plans!!!
My iPhone 6, 2 year contract with O2, naturally comes to an end this September - just in time for the iPhone 7 launch. Lets hope the 7 doesn't come with yet another 2 year contract?!!!!
So what are your plans - where will you be getting yours?!!
I'm not sure I'll be queuing up for the 7 this time around - far easier to order online! I remember queuing up for the iPhone 4!! I posted my story on the old O2 forums (probably in some deep dark basement cellar by now!) but essentially, I queued up at the Apple Store in Bromley, where they were handing out cakes, coffees and all sort of stuff to people waiting! Weirdly though, I'd struck up a friendship with some random poster on the forums, and we arranged to meet up and go together - good job he didn't turn out to be an axe murderer or something!!!!

Ok, but, and it's a a big Butt....
99.99999% of iPhone posts, historically do not discuss specs or information, WWDC posts do. IPhone posting habits is generally 2 pages of people kudo'd up to the hilt just for posting "ordered mine at 8:55 this morning, can't wait" followed by 200 pages of "where's my iPhone, this is a joke, never again O2"
Precisely why we went to all that hassle last year of getting a concise and correct FAQ created which was then largely ignored and not utilised for the repeated question posts that inevitably happened.
@viridis, we must allow everyone to have their say at the end of the day. I know the busy period may be frustrating or difficult for some, but its a big event, so will attract lots of content. Its a fact of life for a community that specialises in mobile phones. The thread last year was incredibly helpful. So many people used it for information and it was a great success with almost 10,000 views.

@Toby My concern has nothing to do with not allowing 'people to have their say'
It's to do with the fact an iPhone FAQ sheet was produced by some members here. It took hours of time. The FAQ's will be the same but just about a different iPhone....I can't see the point of creating a new one particularly as you say it had 10000 views. I also thought at the time of production it was mentioned it could be used on an annual basis after a review to update it IF necessary. Anyway I have had my say about it. I shall leave this now.

Perhaps we should ask Apple first ?
The iPhone FAQ thread had nothing to do with Apple.

I totally get that @Cleoriff and the creators of the thread did a truly fantastic job, no dispute there. However, the thread is now over a year old and would be very confusing if it was then being used to focus on a device being released right now.

I'm on a 6s Plus and I'm 50/50 as to whether I'll upgrade. All the real goodies will be saved for the 2017 model, for the 10th Anniversary of the iPhone
Hell, there's even rumours that the phone coming in September will actually be called the 6SE as it's not that much of an improvement....

I'll be doing what I normally do and that is, pre order one on Apple's website and get it delivered on launch day. I usually have my old one sold to a friend who has my old iPhone off me the day I get my new one.
I find doing it this way, I only have £200 to put till, to get my new iPhone. Plus, I'm not tied to a contract, and my monthly payments are much less. This has been my preferred method since O2 messed me around with finishing a contract on my iPhone 4.

Sounds like the most organised thing to do @Anonymous. It obviously saves all the uncertainty....:smileyhappy:

The 10-year aspects is not one I had considered @Anonymous! Have you used iPhones for a long time?
