Thought it would be fun to create a launch thread, for your iPhone 7 plans!!!

My iPhone 6, 2 year contract with O2, naturally comes to an end this September - just in time for the iPhone 7 launch.  Lets hope the 7 doesn't come with yet another 2 year contract?!!!!

So what are your plans - where will you be getting yours?!!

I'm not sure I'll be queuing up for the 7 this time around - far easier to order online!  I remember queuing up for the iPhone 4!! I posted my story on the old O2 forums (probably in some deep dark basement cellar by now!) but essentially, I queued up at the Apple Store in Bromley, where they were handing out cakes, coffees and all sort of stuff to people waiting!   Weirdly though, I'd struck up a friendship with some random poster on the forums, and we arranged to meet up and go together - good job he didn't turn out to be an axe murderer or something!!!!

Let them get to 1080p first on their "normal" sized model before we think about such non retina resolutions..

Also without sounding rude @Toby if we 'need to tidy this thread up'...does that mean that those of us who joked about the iphone would have our comments removed? Sorry if you didn't mean that...but thats certainly how it came across....:smileysad:

No guys, this is not what I meant at all

The iPhone 7 thread should be informative, concise and specific with the info people need. If brand new members want to ask questions in that thread they can too. This thread's replies are absolutely fine, but a little off-topic/social in their contents, so could be confusing. That's all I meant :).

The iPhone FAQ thread had nothing to do with Apple. It was produced by some members from here to help with the questions that were repeated year after year. I thought it would be used again. I saved it...as I suppose many who helped produce it also did.......

Anyway point taken...

Ok, but, and it's a a big Butt....
99.99999% of iPhone posts, historically do not discuss specs or information, WWDC posts do. IPhone posting habits is generally 2 pages of people kudo'd up to the hilt just for posting "ordered mine at 8:55 this morning, can't wait" followed by 200 pages of "where's my iPhone, this is a joke, never again O2"
Precisely why we went to all that hassle last year of getting a concise and correct FAQ created which was then largely ignored and not utilised for the repeated question posts that inevitably happened.
