iPhone 6plus iOS 9 - No YouTube over 3G/4G

Anonymous

Hi Guys,

Has anyone got any advice, experience of this problem with the iPhone 6plus on iOS9?

When I use YouTube over Wifi its fine, when I use cellular data it tells me that there no internet connection using the YouTube app.

Carrier: O2 21.0

Mobile Data: idata.o2.co.uk

Phone Model: MGAH2B/A

YouTube: v10.35.11705

iOS: v9.0.2 (13A452)

I've tried everything; rebooting the phone, resetting the network settings using Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

Everything else works fine over cellular, the web version of YouTube over Safari and Chrome, Facebook, WhatsApp, Spotify etc.

Sounds like a you tube app error seen as how everything else is working ok.
Have you tried deleting the app and reloading it?

Thank you! You've saved me from certain madness. The simplest solution was staring me in the face!

Now where's the coffee...?!

Thanks Meri and Marina.

The coffee went away I'm afraid Cleoriff and MI5, sorry 😞

Do you guys have any more advice, this problem is still persisting, even an uninstall/reinstall doesn't solve the problem. I'm thinking of going back to Android again!!!

I can only assume that you tube haven't updated to app to work on ios9 yet.
Some take a while to catch up.

Thanks MI5. It does seem a bit random, I'll monitor further however it's still an issue. The workaround is to use YouTube through a mobile web browser which is what I'm doing now, not a massive inconvenience though. I keep calm and drink tea!
