iPhone 6 & 5s not restoring data?

I've backed up the data from my old iphone onto itunes but it won't recognise my new phone in order to restore the data onto them. I've tried on both and 5s and 6 but no luck. Please help!

I have but in a remote location and can never complete an icloud backup. Not sure whether it's because of poor internet.

Internet speeds / connection can be a cause Yes.

Can you hook onto wifi anywhere ?

Perhaps work through the guides from Apple.

If you get stuck and you have a local Apple Store possibly make an appointment and let them take a look.

I assume you've been able to back up and use a back up before without issue.

Now my old 5 keeps saying on the screen that I need to plug it into itunes. I've plugged it into itunes but it won't pick it up.

Or try unplugging , quitting iTunes , hook back up and launch itunes.

Have you a different lead you can try?

Is this to Mac or PC?

Also try Turning the iphone off and back on which cures many glitches and or Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and Home Button until the Apple Logo appears and let go of both. Your iPhone will reset.
