I believe the insurance for these is from CPW as they are supplying the stock.

As far as I know O2 now only insure phones bought instore as everything goes through CPW
I would try an independent insurer but check if your home insurance covers personal items. Some bank accounts cover mobiles too.

3 years ago we switched to insurance policy for business contents 3 iphones £32 (total) a year we have saved over £1500 over o2 insurance policy cost. And the iphone values have risen on the policy from 499 each to 544 each also no need to inform of imei changes / handset type as covers value of replaccement etc.
