I have been arguing with o2 customers all day regarding this issue. So hearing Xerohour has had the difference credited to his account is reassuring.

I am very displeased with o2 since i was on a simplicity tariff and therefore could only upgrade online and thus extorted into paying the higher retail price.

After being a customer for 5 years and being told that o2 cannot do anything about this i am very frustrated 5 years of brand loyalty destroyed in a morning. I hope i can reach a similar agreement with customer services.

I emailed O2 support last night about it, as I struggle with phone calls
