On Monday I dropped my 3G in clean, toilet water aaahhh! Have tried rice and phone in a bag but no joy it is dead. My contract is for another year so cannot upgrade....any ideas how I can get a cheap replacement from O2! Quite happy with plain old 3G.

I don't think O2 sell the 3G version any more. Earliest looks like the 3GS. Your best bet would probably be to try to find one on eBay, but make sure you're buying from a reputable seller.

either get one of ebay or get one from apple with a 3 month warranty as an out of warranty replacement. o2 will not help unless you have o2 insure.

Is it insured at all?

Only insured on household, with £100 excess, so not worth it. May get a refurbished one if I can, just don't want to spend too much as I use my iPad for most things, just the iPhone for textin and photos really! It's handy to have iCloud.

Lots of them here, but as said before, only buy one from a seller with a good rating, or also as said, try an Apple store.

Gumtree is another alternative.

Just meet somewhere public and have a sim ready to try out the iPhone.
