iPad "No Service"

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi All,

This has probably already been covered but I wasn't able to find any tricks I haven't tried!

For the last week (I think) I've had the "No Service" icon on my iPad (3rd Gen WiFi+Cellular). I have lots of data left (7gb) and it was topped up at the beginning of January. WiFi works absolutely fine and when I'm connected I can "View Account" for cellular data, but when I'm not on WiFi I'm not able to view the account. I've tried in several locations and I just can't get a signal anywhere!

I've reset all network settings several times, done a hard reset and even returned my iPad to factory settings but I'm still getting nothing. I have a mobile contract with o2 and have perfect signal and I've checked the service availability in my area and its all good.

Is it worth getting a new sim card? I wouldn't be so bothered but since I've got 7gb I don't really want to lose them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks!

Either the sim card or the card reader is faulty I would guess.... You can get your credit transferred to a new sim card so try that first.

Hi,

Yes one option is to get a new sim card from an o2 shop where they will perform the swap  for you.

Also book it in with a genius bar at an apple store if possible if the service does not return.
