iMessage activation fix (If you have TuGo installed)

Anonymous
Not applicable
Open the TuGo app on your iPhone.
Go to Settings, then Account and delete your account, and slide the switch to Yes.

Uninstall the app from all of your devices.

Go to settings on your iPhone and then iMessage. Slide the switch to off.

Reboot your iPhone.

Go back to Settings and slide the switch to On, and it will say waiting for activation again, give it a few minutes and you should have full iMessage capabilities again, you may need to check that your phone number is selected in the Send & Receive option.

I have spoken to TuGo's Technical product manager who is now going further into the issue.

The funny SMS' that you were receiving were supposed to be silent and sent to an activation server, but since iOS 7 has been introduced, TuGo hasn't been updated as these messages have changed slightly and are hitting TuGo and relaying back to us as a normal SMS.

Thanks all and good luck.

So what about those that have NEVER installed TUgo?????

If you sign into My O2 you should be able to see if TuGo is active or not on your account. It's obviously not the answer if TuGo has never been installed unless the whole system is messing with iOS issues.

The fact that you never installed the app makes no difference. Just having a Tu-Go account will cause the problem

Try inserting the sim card into a phone, get the text and you should then be able to install to the ipad.
