or phone them and ask for one to be posted to you stating whether your on contract or payg.

If you are already an 02 customer then they can transfer your number over to the new sim card instore or at home via this link http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/
If your moving from another network then ask for your PAC Code and pass it onto 02.
