To explain the process on the 5th you started a contract that is paid by direct debit (it is in the t&C) and paid £49.99 up front for the phone

on the 6th o2 produced your first bill due for payment on the 20th But on the 6th you paid £50 (not sure if that covered the full bill produced)

The next bill 2nd 5th may (normal bill) will be due again 14 days later.

So you have only had 1 bill that is due for payment 20th (paid or partly paid or overpaid by a manual payment)

As I said before check in my o2 for the exact value of bill 1 produced on the 6th and let us know if the bill due on the 20th has been paid ?

Your bill will be generated then but payment isn't taken for a further 14 days after the bill is produced.

Don't worry if you have over paid as it will be a credit on your account which means o2 won't call the full amount by DD, but in future, just leave the DD as is and let o2 call the money automatically.
