confused about buying a phone!

hello.

so, im currently paying a sim only contract of 02 unlimited. my iphone 6 has broke and i want to purchase the iphone 11 with unlimited data. my question is, if i purchase the phone and the tarriff, will i also be pauing for my current tarrif along side or will the new one just replace my current contract?

You will just pay the new tariff @hwhitley 

Everything will just hange over and you may see the first bill with the new phone adjusted slightly up or down

Carry on using your current sim card in the new phone

sorry again haha, ive just purchased the phone and the tarrif and its told me what my new number is? do i ignore this and just put my old sim in?

You didn't upgrade @hwhitley 

so you now have both your sim only and your new phone contract.

You'll need to call O2 to migrate the number from your simo to the contract when the new phone arrives.

oh ok, so if i call them and migrate it then i will just be paying the one tarrif and phone bundle?

Yes, once you migrate the number to the new contract, your simo will be cancelled.
