Hello. I recently purchased an iphone 5 for my wife and switched her number over from Vodaphone. Everything works except when I send her an imessage from my iphone 4s - which goes to her old iphone 4 - even though the number has switched over to O2? She can send imessages to me and I get them instantly Any ideas? NH

it worked! sounds simple and obvious but when you really don't know what else to try it becomes genius! Thanks so much.

I had a similar problem. The solution for me was to (i) get the settings right on all phones on the same Apple ID address See http://bit.ly/TuzIn3 BUT (ii) crucially 'reset' the iPhone5 not just turn on and of, with
- Press the Home Button and Power Button at the same time.
- Hold the buttons for a few seconds, ignoring the slide to power off message
- Release the buttons after the Apple icon appears
- Turn your iPhone back on by pressing the power button.
This fixed the problem for me.
So it's not enough to just turn the phone on and off (and reset only reboots the settings no content is lost).
