Hi I'm wanting to buy an Apple Watch 6 for my bf, but on contract, not sure i understand how it works... once the watch is paid off monthly do i still have to pay an airtime bill?  Also how do i link it up to his phone as opposed to mine, already an account holder and have my own watch!

Easiest way is to buy from Apple (on credit if you can't afford the full cost).

O2 will only allow you to link it to your phone and the data plan payments will come out of your account.

Your BF can setup his own data plan with the watch if you buy from Apple, if required, or he can just use it as a Bluetooth connected device.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
