@MaccaMcdukes O2 will not be supporting the new Apple watch. The only network with the infrastructure to do this at the moment is EE.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

@MaccaMcdukes Certainly not in the foreseeable future. If the watch is your main concern, then you should consider a switch, but check your coverage for everything else you use your phone for before you do.

I was looking forward to having that feature with the watch, it looks to be a cool thing to have... I was hoping I could get it with O2 as I have been happy and loyal to them for a while now. since they were BT Celnet back in the day...

From talking to some other networks engineers and account managers it looks like no one has the inclination to support the Apple Watch 3, for cellular, as they are more interested in developing their 5g infrastructure than some apple gimmick.. 


This can all be changed, but for now the only network, that will and for a while is EE, no other BT network either owned or MVNO will support it.
