Will O2 Ireland sim card work with my iphone 5?

I have a I Phone 5 on a pay monthly contract here in the Uk but i go home to Ireland for a couple of weeks every few months and would like to be able to use my i phone while im there.

I was wondering if it would be possible to buy an O2 ireland pay as you go sim card and use it in my i phone while im in Ireland.

Is it possible to do this?

No it's a separate company.

If your iPhone is sim free factory unlocked it will accept any Sim.
