WiFi Calling - iOS 10.3

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hey guys,

Just updated to iOS 10.3. Noticed in the settings that there is an option to enable wifi calling. Anyone know if this actually works now?

Looks like London & Leeds are the only areas where 4G calling is active.

I am presuming everyone on here who has this service is running a iPhone 7 as it advised I could have it on my 5s but the option is not there in settings even though the o2 website and tech team said they have turned it on but just rung customer services and they didn't even know the service existed????!!!!

It's only available on 7 and 7+

The fact that it is only available on iPhone 7 and + is wrong on so many levels another sales technique to get you to buy the new model the 5s onwards runs the same software so it is the capabilities it's just o2 are denying it to anyone who doesn't buy the new model I had nothing but problems with tu go and had to have the account deleted by o2 in the end and with indoor reception being what it is with o2 I have been waiting for this only to be told I have to upgrade to get it come on o2 play the game

It's also worth noting that Apple are no longer supporting any of the 5 series phones with software updates so expect it only to become available to 64 bit phones in the future too.

Not true iPhone 5, 5s and 5c are still fully supported on iOS 10, including iOS 10.3.1

I totally agree that supporting iPhone 7/+ only is a complete joke, come on o2 Wifi calling has been around for years and works fine on older models, flick the switch!

Ok, pretty sure 5s will still be supported on iOS 11. It's 64 bit.

Yes it will.
I've re-read the article and it's the 5 and 5c that will be dropped so no excuses for not supporting 5s onwards with wifi calling slight_smile
