This is what a lot of customers have had to do and its long past overdue that O2 do something about this seemingly total disregard for their customers.

This is not aimed at you jonsie, but i dont want a fckin app. Its a complete waste of time and I am absolutely not interested in it. TUGO whatever sucked big time.

All I want to do is send a text message when i want to send it, immediatetly and anywhere in my house.

which I might add I can do on my Giff gaff prepay and vodafone prepay.

I dont get why this is so poxy difficult.

FPdO with it.

It’s O2 innit. You need to ask them that as they may need to add new masts or upgrade them in your area

This is NOT solved.

To those who say "use WhatsApp": The problem with this is that these days one of the significant uses for SMS is Banks and other services confirming you are real by sending codes by SMS, so I can't use WiFi calling much as I would like to until SMS works over wifi.

@bilko There is now the new O2 Ask app that supports sms over WiFi

Yes it does, but it does not completely replace it.
You get the notification about the SMS from a bank/other sender, but when you try to open the actual message it seems to disappear.
It is very strange in that regard...

OK, give Assk a chance, so I download the app, fine no problem> go to sign up,

ah, enter your phone number so we can send you an SMS code> ok >execute> still waiting for the fckin SMS 20 mins later and this is with 2 bars showing on my phone.
