No, not yet.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Yes, EE for me next I think, after many years with O2. The whole not doing SMS over WIFI thing just makes life miserable with so many 2-part security processes involving texts now.

EE coverage is better, possibly cheaper and they listen to their customers. Seems like O2 are failing their customers in all of these respects.

Shame - I don't really want to move!

This too for me is a deal breaker.  Poor signal prevents sms but sms becoming more important for verification so o2 looking like a looser....

This really is ridiculous, our office is heavily insulated and triple glazed, meaning we get no signal inside. wifi calling is great bu the lack of sms is a huge pain!

we have to stand outside and sometimes I get texts 2/3 hrs after I leave work!

other colleagues with EE have no issues, texts and calls come sailing through!

I think it might be time to leave O2.

same here. sometimes i even forget about the problem because phone calls on Wi-Fi are fine. I try to login to a website and the website insists it sent an SMS a few times and nothing is coming through...

its 'solved' in that the original query has been answered in that it isn't currently supported.

Since there is no timeline if and when this will be resolved there is no point in leaving a forum post unresolved

Maybe once a query has been solved and marked as a solution it should be locked at the admin discretion or split into a new thread.

this feature will never happen on o2 because o2 are still running Y2K GPRS network with SMS gateways. To get SMS messages over Wi-Fi and fast mobile data you have to be on an all-IP modern telco infrastructure.
