All you can do is pay off what you owe and leave.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

o2 are currently in breach of the EU Regulations as the regulations do not distinguish between a Data Only Sim, and a Voice Sim, nor between a hotspot, tablet or phone..

The current policy at o2 is not in line with the Regualtions as set down, and is against the consumer.

They can apply a Fair Use Policy on Data Sims but thats it!!

Im in the process of trying to raise a complaint with Ofcom, about this...

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Hi @adamtemp64 ,

I have been having the same argument with them this morning on twitter, and they wont budge so waiting to see what ofcom as they are restricting where a user can use the device, which is against the wording of the agreement..

o2 at the moment are riding rough shot over the new roaming regulations...

I have a way round it, just use a Voice Contract sim in the device 🙂

Yes that's a way round it but it doesn't help those already committed to a data sim. O2 are very sure of themselves legally here but morally their whole shoddy treatment of their customers roaming absolutely stinks.

They may not be breaching directives but they are breaching fair play. I wonder which network the directors use when roaming? O2? Surely not?

Totally agree @jonsie

As someone who will defend o2, as i see it from enterprise and consumer POV, i think o2 have got it completely wrong and **** backwards when it comes to roaming for the consumer..

Come o2 get your act together..........

We always knew it would be the bare legal minimum re: roaming.
I imagine the loopholes are noted and in all honesty. Hotspot has always been a nono with travel.
I fear Vodafone getting huge chunks of market over the summer.
