Whatsapp not working whilst roaming in Europe

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hey guys, for the past week or so my whatsapp isn't connecting to the network whilst on data roaming with 3G connection in European countries. It works fine in the UK however doesn't connect in Europe and I've tried in 4 different countries so far. I haven't re-installed it yet as I have so much data on there to back up first. Any ideas? All other apps work fine whilst using roaming. Thanks

Hi all, after receiving some complaints about WhatsApp not working outside the UK, we investigated it as a high priority and discovered an issue on our end that was causing this. I can confirm this issue has now been resolved and WhatsApp should be working normally for you now.

I presume it was all to do with the update and encryption but glad to see O2 have sorted out the problem.

I would expect it to be more likely an issue with the local network you are connected to.
