Voicemail notifations not working anymore

Hi,

My voicemail notifications have stopped working, any idea how to reactivate this, please?

I tried the dial 1750 and it didn't work.

Thank you!

Re: Voicemail notifations not working anymore

@SarahP try the usual turn off, remove sim, replace and try again.

Also, have you changed anything recently? A new sim or tariff change for example?

If no better, text the word STATE to 9011

Apple Visual Voicemail Reset

Sometimes, the visual voicemail feature on Apple iPhones can stop working. O2 suggest the following steps to reset voicemail on an iPhone.

NOTE: Following these steps will destroy all voicemail messages on the phone, plus lose any saved WiFi settings (e.g. Eduroam)

  1. Turn off voicemail by dialling 1760 from the phone. You should heard a message confirming voicemail has been deactivated.
  2. Perform a reset of network settings on the iPhone. (Home -> Settings -> General -> Reset -> Network Settings) The exact steps may vary based on the iOS version.
  3. Send an SMS message to 9011, with the word "STATE" (Note the capitalisation).
  4. After a few minutes, power off, and power back on again the iPhone.
  5. Re-enable voicemail by dialling 1750.
  6. Re-test to see if Visual Voicemail is working.

Good morning @SarahP, I was wondering if you got a chance to try the above suggestions yet? There's quite a lot of info and it'd be great if you could let us know whether it worked or if you need further help with this slight smile

Re: Voicemail notifations not working anymore

Hi both, thanks so much for the help, but I've gone through the steps twice now, but still no luck Smiley Sad

I also tried a few other things, like changing my voicemail pin, turning the pin request on and off again. I also tried resetting the voicemail notification settings (these were all done through the voicemail phone menu by dialling * )

Any other suggestions? I did change contracts last year, with a new sim, and I think that's when this might have stopped working. But I can't be sure!

Thanks in advance for any more suggestions!

Re: Voicemail notifations not working anymore

In that case there's a good chance that you don't have iData set up on your account @SarahP.
Give customer service a call on 202 to check and be specific that you want iData for iPhone on your account.
