Visual voicemail loss on iPhone 6s

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have lost visual voicemail on my iPhone 6s since updating to iOS 11.0.1 and iOS 11.o.2 hasn’t fixed it either. On the voicemail tab I just get a 'call voicemail ' button and nothing else. Appple told me to backup the phone and completely reset it. That was a nightmare too! It didn’t fix the problem. Any ideas?

Hi @Anonymous Advice from Apple support https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201436

Maybe you have to reset it after this update?

  1. From the Home screen, navigate: Phone > Voicemail . ...
  2. Tap Set Up Now. ...
  3. Enter a password then tap Done. ...
  4. Re-enter the password then tap Done.
  5. Tap Custom to record a greeting. ...
  6. Tap Record to begin.
  7. When finished, tap Stop.
  8. Tap Save.

Hi @Anonymous how are you doing today?

We have an existing topic about issues with visual voicemail after the iOS 11 update, see here. An update from O2 also has a suggested fix while the issue is being looked into:

Thanks for raising this to us last night and this morning. We're currently investigating the cause of this, but in the meantime what we have seen to work is sending a message saying "STATE" to 9011. This will reset the mailbox, but won't delete any of your messages.
If that doesn't work for you, please let us know.

Did any of the suggestions work for you @Anonymous?
