When I go on facebook, I can't get the videos to play. This i a recent problem as have managed to watch them up untill the last few days

Try resetting the phone and / or remove the facebook app and reinstall it.

Facebook seems to update every other day so it's possible there is some conflict with the various versions. As @MI5 advises uninstall and reboot the phone before downloading the latest version.
