I have upgraded online to a iPhone X and my sim doesn’t to seem to have registered after 24 hours and I am unable to receive the texts. It is also still appearing on my 02 with my old device.

@Anonymous Are you using your sim from a previous phone or is it a new sim? If it's a new sim has it been activated? Have you tried switching the phone off and back on again? If that doesn't work, contact Customer Service https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus or if you have an O2 store nearby, you could call in and ask for another sim and they will activate it for you.

@Anonymous For security reasons sims are not sent already working. You need to activate it. Take a look at this link:https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/activating-your-sim

When you upgrade the account details are changed on O2's system and are also transferred to your current sim card. A new blank sim is sent in case you need a different sized one.
For an upgrade, you should put your old sim in your new phone, if it doesn't fit, you need to do a sim swap to transfer the details to your new sim card.
