Unwanted texts from O2

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello. I keep getting texts from O2 advertising O2 things. They say "to stop texts, call 2220." When I call 2220 it tells me that I have chosen not to receive texts in all of the categories. Yet still they come. Does anyone know how to stop them?

Cheers,

Mat

Check your preferences in MyO2.

Have you signed up for Priority or O2 More as their lists may be separate?

For example for O2 More:

  1. How do I opt out?

To opt out text STOP to 20502. You'll stop receiving messages from O2 More within 3 days.

To support Disasters Emergency Committee: http://www.dec.org.uk/appeals text Nepal to 70000 to send £5

Thanks. I've not signed up for O2 Priority or O2 More.

The problem is that the texts that I am gettint do not include a "text STOP" option, rather I have to call a number which then says that I have chosen not to receive texts.

Probably best to ring O2 then and see why they're still coming in.

Try sending STOP to 81145.

Do you know a number for them that is answered by a human? [So far all I have managed to find are endless "dial 1 for this, 2 for that" menus that never lead to a person. I've tried 0844 809 0202, but none of the menu options aree appropariate.] Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Thanks all. Will try on Monday. I probably won't find my way back to this page, so thanks again and goodbye!
