Hi,
I upgraded my iPhone 4S to an iPhone 6 a few months ago and now that the 4S is all paid for I'd like to sell it on. I'd like to get the 4S unlocked first, though, and I understand that I can do so via this online form:
https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form
However, whenever I've read about this process, the final step to unlocking is to insert a SIM from another network. Do I definitely need to do this? Or will the phone be effectively unlocked and 'ready' to accept a new SIM?
Any help will be gratefully received!
