Unlocking iphone 5

Hi, I recently upgraded my I phone 4 to an iphone 5 on 24month contract. At this time I asked in store if I could get it unlocked and was told yes. The sales lady then filled in the form which is always getting declined. Does anyone no when O2 are going to unlock the iphone 5 as my wife is waiting patiently on the new phone? Thank you

If the form is getting declined it will never be unlocked. You need to find out why it is getting declined - Usaslly because you are using the wrong password.

You shouldn't have any problem unlocking the iphone 4 but it could be a couple more months before they start to unlock the iphone 5.

There are no current plans to unlock the iPhone 5 that o2 staff are aware of. From past experience they usually offer to unlock iPhones 6-9 months from when the first one went on sale.
