I have an iPhone 5S and have "SIM swapped" the old micro SIM to the new nano SIM. I now want to give my old iPhone 4 to a relative but they need it unlocked (they don't use O2). If I have O2 unlock the phone, are they able to do it without an O2 SIM being inside the phone? Obviously I have now transferred my number to the nano SIM and have destroyed the old one. Or do they simply need the IMEI? A quick look at the online form asks for the phone number and not the IMEI which is why I'm wondering if this is going to be a problem.
Thanks.

Hi
I am sure you need to give your imei number at some point. Also when entering the unlocking code, I think you have to have non o2 sim inserted for it to work.
@bandofbrothers, can you assist OP further please?
PS. You have to provide the imei number at the end of the online form.
