hi all! im using O2-based network (giffgaff)

in UK its works with my SIMcard, but how can i unlock my phone to use it abroad?

but first I'd get an EE or Voda sim and see if it works because if you got your phone from giffgaff it may already be unlocked.

no, ive got it from ebay, and it was listed as O2 locked

can i use my friends simcard, f.e?

Yes, any o2 sim card will work, you just need it to register the phone on the o2 network.

so, if i understand you correctly, i need a O2 simcard to put it in the phone and to register in MyO2 app, ask for unlocking and then i can give it back?
