Unlock iphone 6 from Carphone Warehouse?

Hi, all.

Just got hold of the above from a friend of mine, its less than 6 months old, was bought sim-free from the carphone warehouse but it locks to the first sim inserted which was O2.

My question is how do i get it unlocked? Its not tied to any contract from O2 but their web page states they wont be unlocking iphone 6/6+

12 months before they will unlock the 6 from date of launch.

Hi @Anonymous , you need to go back to CPW, they can unlock it for you. With O2, like @MI5 said, u need to wait 12 months.

CPW won't / can't unlock the phone because they don't lock them....
O2 has locked it and they are the only ones that can unlock it.....

Not really...if they have sold it sim free they will. They even have their own system in store to generate the code .... They just don't like to advertise it ....:smileywink:

From launch date which was around October 2014 I think.....?

The OP is not the original owner of the phone. Even if what you say is true, I would think that the original owner would have to go in with his sales receipt to have it unlocked.

To be honest I have never heard of one single customer getting their phone unlocked by CPW.
