Take jailbreak off

New to this so hi all, I have iphone3g iOS 4.2.1 Cydia 1.1.6 and would like the jailbreak off without losing contacts and pics can I do this please, any help would be appreciated.

Perform a back up first to iTunes and or iCloud.

Then hook up the iPhone to iTunes and hit restore

Then use your back up to put your contacts etc back on.
Just follow the prompts.

Hopefully you've not messed around with the baseband of the iPhone 3GS ,as this can cause issues.

It's iPhone 3G not 3GS don't know if that makes any difference and how would I know if baseband has been messed with as I don't know, thanks for reply I will let you know tomorrow

If you don't know then you probably have not had to replace it with an iPad variant.

It does not matter about the iPhone model.

Just do the back up first and hook up to iTunes and restore.

Then use the back up to put your data back on the phone.

I've got to say you will miss the jail break for a while.

Took me a couple of months to learn how to get on with a stock iPhone again.
