I had a simplicity contract and I ran out of data so I decided to upgrade 1 level and get more data per month. I was receiving 4g before but now it has suddenly stopped and I can only get 3G. Checked the data setting on my IPhone and it is set to 4G and it has been a few days so I thought the issue might have been solved by now but no luck.
Any ideas.

it may well be there is a problem with the mast. Check your network status here http://status.o2.co.uk/

This really has to be a mast issue as if they messed up the account type at upgrade you would have no internet access at all on mobile data.
What rate the results of the status checker posted above @Anonymous

Hi there @Anonymous. Would you be able to log into your MyO2 account and find out the name of your new data bolt on? Does it explicity say it's iPhone data or just UK data? Also, did you upgrade directly through O2 or via a reseller such as CPW?

@PhoneDoc if @Anonymous had been put on a non iPhone data tariff no data would work they have 3G data working in the opening post

That was my understanding from the opening post...hence my advice to check network/mast status..
