If you buy a new phone yes O2 won't help with the cost so you will have to pay for it all unfortunately

Its going to be an expensive trip to the 02 high-street store to buy an iPhone 4s or iPhone 5 on payg.

If you do want to pay outright for one then I strongly recommend you buy one from an Apple High-Street Store, as they are truly factory unlocked.

You might want to consider visiting a C.E.X shop if you have one locally.

They sell used iphones amongst other makes and add a years warranty on top too.

Their are stand alone insurance comapnies such as 'protect your bubble.com' but be sure to read all their terms and conditions.

Have you checked if the phone is covered under personal items by your home insurance?

Good heads up Jonsie !

Also some Bank Accounts provide cover too.

Just ensure you checkout what their excess fee's are and what any home insurance premium increase may be or what what loss of No Claims you have.

You will need a Police Crime Reference number for amy claim.
