Still waiting for sim to swap , been 32 hours

I’ve been waiting about 32 hours for my sim to swap and still no joy been trying to talk to someone on the o2 app but it keeps saying they are going to send a text to my phone so I can prove it is me , it is a joke why send me a text if my sim is not switch on

My recent sim swop was easy and done within a few hours. In the past it has taken a while but i tried a trick and it worked. I’m not sure if you have tried this or not by your original message. 

I simply turned the new phone off, took the old sim out, put the new sim in and turned it on. Then its suddenly worked.
