Standard Sim to Nano Sim?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

How do I go about changing my standard sim to a nano sim while still keeping the same contract/tarriff/number etc?

I literally just want a smaller sim card so it will fit in the iPhone 5s.

Thank you!

swapmysim link : http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/

Pick up a blank nano sim from an o2 shop and they will do this for you or do it at home using the above link or you can request this via text message by sending 'Swap' to 20220. Only do this when you have the nano sim.

Make sure you ask for a contract or payg one.

Or have one posted out to you.

Take into account it can take up to 24 hours for the service to settle.

Typically turning the iphone off and on helps the re connection.

Is there any way of ordering a blank nano sim off of the o2 website?

I don't have a local o2 shop!

Ring 202 for contract or 4445 for payg or use Live Online Chat http://www.o2.co.uk/mobile/contactus

Any mobile phone shop will cut your sim down for you (with a specialised sim cutter) if you prefer a quicker route.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Worst case scenario is that you have to get a new sim and do a sim swap, so nothing to lose and only time to gain wink

I've had 1 cut down sim fail out of 4 that I've done so it can go wrong, but not always.

To the best of my knowledge, blank replacement sims cannot be ordered online.  When you order a sim online, it will be a new sim with a new number.  It is just the same process to sim swap with a blank sim as it is with a sim with a new number.
