Sounding out a new idea (I think) - "O2 delay"

Anonymous
Not applicable

Just a thought for those of us who text friends/loved ones late at night - you want them to know you've replied, and in as good a time as possible - but you don't necessarily want to wake them up to do so. Would O2 be able to provide a delay on the alert of a text message - eg, start your message with *delay 7am* and the message is delivered but with minimal flashing/beeping until 7am? Or would this be something Apple would have to do… Or a combo of the two?

What do you think, could this take off?

Looks like its part of Samsung's overlay - Not on my Z1 either.

Shame it's only Samsung. It's a good idea. Anyone know if there are any other text apps in the Play Store that have this feature?

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I often use this facility texting to Thailand as it's a six hour time difference and texting home from there. Again, using the S3 and Note2. It's perhaps something all the manufacturers should adopt.

It seems to be a popular requirement based on the responses here, at least.....

You remember it's someone's birthday and you think...'must send a text tomorrow'...and forget!

Unless you diarise it or schedule it... Memory fades as you get older I'm afraid (well mine does!):smileysad:

It's one of the very few useful faceache features, for sure....

I don't use faceache for that. Important birthdays are in my diary thankfully!
