Smashed iphone screen

Do you know how much it costs for an Iphone 5 screen to be replaced?

The issue is the problems than can happen while trying to fit the new part ,and the introduction of dust that's in the air etc.

I'm guessing any manufacturers warranty was spent because if not it'll be voided now anyway.

Actually BoB...that was another reason I talked my relative out of it....she still had a week laft on her warranty..and got it done for nothing

If warranty has expired and you are fairly competent and confident, why not have a go?
The worst that can happen is that you completely screw it up and end up selling it for parts....

I know its an iPhone and you dont normally have much to do with them... but just wondering? :

Not on an iPhone but have done a few others.
I'd watch the videos on you tube and have a go myself - It won't be everyone comfortable with this process obviously, but for me it's part of how I learn.....
