Solved: Sim swap problems on upgrade

I have just upgraded from my iphone 3gs to an iphone 4s. I went through the motions of swapping the sim cards and received my code etc. My old phone stopped working and the new phone seemed fine. However, although I can dial out, text etc, anyone trying to call me or text me receives the message 'the number you are calling is not recognised'! Yet when I call out, my correct number appears on the other persons phone on the incoming call. Help! Anyone know how to resolve this?
