Sim not provisioned

Just purchased a new iphone 6 on contract for my daughter. Got it home and plugged it into ITunes but still getting message 'sim not provisioned'. Is it just a case of waiting?

Use any method of contact in that link (try to consider live chat last of all) and tell them, they should be able to activate the sim remotely quickly for you.

If she currently has an o2 contract you can just do a sim swap http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/
